Court taxes
As a rule, in commercial litigation and monetary civil claims, the claimant must pay a court tax, owed to the Romanian State. Court taxes are calculated under Ordinance 80 per 2013, based on the value of the claim.
Preliminary discussions and consultancy
Our first meeting, discussion or mail exchange is free of charge.
Consulting a (court) file depends on file volume/length. Most usual fee is between 150 EUR + VAT – 250 EUR + VAT, depending on the volume or number of pages.
Minimum lawyer fees
In civil and commercial cases, we usually apply the minimum fee regulated by the Romanian Union of Bars:
- For Claims up to 1,000 EUR – 192 EUR
- For Claims between 1,001 EUR and 5,000 EUR – 5% of the claim value, but no less than 256 EUR;
- For Claims between 5,001 EUR and 20,000 EUR – 4% of the claim value, but no less than 512 EUR;
- For Claims between 20,001 EUR and 50,000 EUR – 3% of the claim value, but no less than 1,152 EUR;
- For Claims over 50,000 EUR – 2% of the claim value, but no less than 2,176 EUR.
- For Claims over 200,000 EUR – 1% of the claim value, but no less than 5,760 EUR.

Write us a summary of your case or your legal inquiry, so that we have prior knowledge of the case and a financial offer prepared for when we meet.
Should you need our services and agree with the fees we propose, we’ll sign a legal assistance contract, either online, via mail or at our office, situated in Bucharest, Calea Vitan no. 58. In case you choose to sign the contract remotely, we’ll send you our contract after a prior video call to confirm your identity. The legal assistance contract gives us power of attorney to represent you before Romanian authorities.
We establish our fees based on the scope of work your case presents, on a case by case basis. Please refer to the fees section of our website for more details on how we calculate our fees. Our fees bear VAT (19%), deductible by our corporate clients. We invoice our fee to our clients, and all payments are made through bank transfer to our account.
